Workshops

Join us to share for a while what African rhythms bring us: connect with your body, raise your energy level, feel mother earth, dance in community, be free and above all: Let's celebrate life together !!!! This is a workshop to activate our body and express ourselves through movement to the rhythm of the drums.

Afriky: Afro from Waiheke. Afriky is a performance group that emerged from the weekly afro dance classes facilitated by Camila Chicon on the island. They have already performed at several events and festivals around New Zealand. The group is dynamic, it is composed of some permanent drummers and dancers but also always welcomes new members who dare to jump from the classroom to the stage. The show is an explosion of high energy, fun and joy that spreads to the public who is always invited to participate and share some crazy steps to the rhythm of the drums.
